WHY HIGHPOINT?
Our Mission
At Highpoint Basketball, we believe every young athlete deserves the chance to reach their highest potential — not just as players, but as people. While less than 2% of athletes will ever compete professionally, Nearly 100% of our athletes will carry the character, resilience, and life skills they develop with us into everything they do.
Our Philosophy
Youth sports faces a challenge: 70% of children quit organized sports by age 13, with girls dropping out at twice the rate of boys by age 14. This happens because too many programs prioritize star performance over character development and winning over growth.
Our goal is simple: keep as many kids in sports as possible because of the transformative character development it provides. We don't whittle kids down to find the elite few — we build every athlete up to discover their unique potential.
Every player fulfills a different role. The team captain may not be the best scorer but the one who lifts everyone up. A team is the product of each individual contribution, and we celebrate every role that makes the collective stronger.
Michael Jordan didn't make his varsity sophomore basketball team. The difference between giving up and becoming a legend wasn't talent alone — it was having support that believed in his growth. Every young athlete deserves that foundation.
The Highpoint Difference
We are called Highpoint because we help athletes reach higher — but "higher" is defined by each athlete individually. Success isn't measured by scoreboards, but by character, leadership, and the discipline to pursue any goal with determination.
At Highpoint, value isn't about star performance. Every athlete matters, every contribution counts, and every young person has the potential to reach heights they never imagined — both in sport and in life.
